I met Jenna and Jonathon on a warm summer day for their Mahoney State Park engagement photos. From the second I arrived, I knew this session would be special. Tucked into a quiet corner of the park, their camper was already set up with the cutest little patio set and glowing string lights (I mean, talk about Pinterest worthy!).
They welcomed me with big smiles and a bottle of wine. Almost immediately, the tone was set for a session that felt like friends hanging out with friends. As they poured a glass and snuggled up under the canopy of their camper, I started snapping—and the magic unfolded. These two laughed, danced, and simply enjoyed each other. The result was engagement photos that truly reflect their relationship, joyfully and intentionally engaged with each other.
A Peaceful Spot in the Park
We had the most peaceful, tucked-away spot in Mahoney State Park. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. After capturing some cozy camper moments, we did a quick wardrobe change and went exploring. With towering trees, soft golden light, and endless shades of green, Mahoney is an absolute dream for engagement sessions.
One thing about Jenna and Jonathon—they are never too serious. They’re constantly cracking each other up, and you can feel how much fun they have together. They’re the kind of couple who bring out the best in one another, and that energy radiated through every frame.
As the sun dipped lower in the sky, we headed back to their camper for one last outfit change—this time into comfy camping gear for s’mores by the fire.
This Nebraska engagement session was full of personality, laughter, and love—and most importantly, it felt 100% like Jenna and Jonathon.
